Mathematics
At George Eliot, children are taught maths each day. During these lessons they learn mathematical skills and concepts in line with the National Curriculum. They also have the opportunity to apply what they have learned through a variety of rich problem solving tasks.
Mathematics is taught using a range of resources and strategies in order to deepen pupils’ understanding. In teaching in this way, this provides high-quality, differentiated teaching and learning resources to support children of all abilities across the school.

The best way to support children outside of school is to ensure that they know their number bonds (pairs of numbers that total 10, 100 etc) and their times tables.
