Early Years Foundation Stage
At George Eliot we provide a safe and inclusive environment where children are happy and enjoy coming to school. We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which enables each child to develop personally, socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, creatively and intellectually to his or her full potential. Each child is valued as an individual and teaching and learning is based on the understanding that children develop at different rates.

Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles
We have achieved our Bronze, Silver and Gold Healthy Early Years Award. We have been working closely with the Oral Health Promotion Team to educate our children and families about how to maintain good oral health.
We would like you to continue the good work at home and support your child to:
-
Brush their teeth morning and night using a fluoride toothpaste.
-
Keep sugary foods and drinks to mealtimes – fresh fruit, plain water and milk are great for in-between meals.
-
Visit the dentist regularly for check-ups – it is free for children.
The links below provide useful guides for parents and carers who would like further information about oral health.
